Cross-posting to Telegram, VK and MAX from one window
How to write a post once and publish it to Telegram, a VK community and a MAX channel: setup, per-platform limits and result tracking.
Why cross-post
Readers live in different apps: some read Telegram, some stay in VK, some have moved to MAX. One text published to three channels reaches all of them — and the analytics of each platform separately show where the audience actually is.
Setup in three steps
- Telegram: a bot from @BotFather with the “Post messages” right in the channel.
- VK: a community access key with photos, wall and community-management rights.
- MAX: a bot from the MAX partner platform, added as a channel administrator.
One post, different rules
Platforms have different limits, and the service checks them before publishing:
- Telegram — 4096 characters, or 1024 with an image;
- VK — 4096 characters;
- MAX — 4000 characters.
If the text is too long for one of the selected channels, Postomat says which channel and how much to cut, instead of trimming the post quietly.
Per-platform results
A cross-post is not “all or nothing”: if VK accepted the post and MAX rejected it, you see the published link and the error next to the same post. Failed channels are retried, successful ones are never duplicated.
UTM tags and short links
Links inside a post can be tagged automatically with the platform as the source, and short links count clicks by country. That is how you find out which channel actually brings readers.

Do I need three separate accounts?
You need access to each channel you publish to: a bot for Telegram and MAX, a community key for VK. Postomat stores them and publishes on your behalf.
