Content plan template: a ready month for your channel
What a content plan consists of: the 3×4 rubric model, a ready monthly grid and how to turn the plan into a queue of scheduled posts.
The 3×4 rubric model
Twelve posts a month, three rubrics, four posts in each. It is flexible enough for any business and, most importantly, easy to keep going:
- Useful — how to choose, how to use, what to watch out for.
- About the business — cases, reviews, the team, how the work is done.
- Involving — questions, polls, stories, announcements.
Monthly grid: 12 posts, 3 a week
- Week 1: useful — about the business — involving
- Week 2: useful — case — involving
- Week 3: useful — about the business — announcements
- Week 4: useful — reviews — involving
Two of the four “useful” posts answer frequent customer questions — they are always there.
How to execute the plan without slipping
- Write the plan for the month in one sitting, right in the calendar of the service.
- Keep two or three ready posts as a reserve for busy weeks.
- Do not move the plan more than once a week: frequent reshuffles are what breaks rhythm.
Where to keep the plan
In Postomat you can import a ready CSV plan, save the most repeated formats as templates, and leave the rest to scheduled posting.
Frequently asked
Do I need a different plan for every channel?
The rubrics are the same; the format changes: shorter for messengers, longer with links for websites.
What if a month has five weeks?
Add a fifth week with reviews and an announcement, or shift the plan by a day — the calendar handles it.
Can I reuse last month’s plan?
Yes, and that is normal: templates and a repeating grid save most of the preparation time.
Try it on your own channels
